Holidays; Holy-Days; Haul(ly)-Days
In a blink of the eye, the March hols have seeped themselves in.
Weeks of slogging through school, trying to catch up with the bountiful loads of work, trying to play the multiple roles we adopt in daily life to the daily people in our lives.
Yet once again, being reminded of my inadequacy for the lectures/tutorials, expectations, the Big As, as I wag along to the motion from classroom to classroom to lecture theatres.
I've always loved the holidays. Some time to rest, some time to relax. Yet, this year has been a tad different.
Hurried the years have gone by, this is no exception. The only grave difference now is the tinge (and gradually expanding sense) of reclusiveness and distance. There's this sense of uncertainty unfolding. How much should be spent on my CCAs? How much should be spent on developing these interests? Or should they even be spent at all? How much should be spent on academics? Just how much is 'enough'?
Priorities. Priorities. Priorities.
Questions that can only be answered by me, depending on me. Then in comes the insertion of some predictability: stories from experiences; expected outcomes; actions and consequences; prophetic fingers. Just where do all these end?
Halfway through all the seriousness are injections of imaginations, predictions and pursuits of pleasure.
Travel plans, exhibits to attend, must-watch musicals, interest-jerking plays, dharma-chasing, picnics, playgrounds, driving license, biking, travel, travel, travel...
So much being craved, so much to explore.
I really just want to graduate Now.
kay, so let this just be the ramblings for now. Catching up with old friends a bit is a pretty nice feeling actually. That is especially so when one is under no pressure or whatsoever (my foot).
But we'll continue to press on til the end. Go Go, less than 8 months left.
:)
On a happier note, Daddy and Hangs will be back soon (early next week). Miss them ♥
